Add an event

Calendar dates are added quietly โ€” no notification. To announce an event, post it from ๐Ÿ“ฃ Messages with โ€œAdd to calendarโ€.

Import birthdays & anniversaries

Save your spreadsheet as CSV with three columns: Name, Type (Birthday or Anniversary), Date (e.g. 12/02, Dec 2, or 1975-12-02 โ€” only the month and day are kept). Download a sample file.

  1. Tap the ๐Ÿ™ Prayers & Praise tab at the top.
  2. Tap the blue ๏ผ‹ Share a prayer request button.
  3. Type your request. For good news, pick Praise / Thanksgiving as the category.
  4. Tap Post to the chain.
๐Ÿคฒ Let someone know I prayed
  1. Tap a prayer request to open it.
  2. Tap ๐Ÿ™ I prayed. Theyโ€™ll see that someone is praying.
  3. To add a kind word, tap ๐Ÿ’ฌ Leave encouragement.
๐ŸŽ‰ Share that my prayer was answered
  1. Open your own prayer request.
  2. Tap Mark answered. Everyone gets the good news.
๐Ÿ“ฃ See church news and events
  1. Tap ๐Ÿ“ฃ Messages for news from the pastor and church leaders. Tap ๐Ÿ‘ to say you saw it.
  2. Tap ๐Ÿ“… Calendar for upcoming events, birthdays and anniversaries.
  3. A number like (2) on a tab means there are 2 new things since you last looked.
๐Ÿ”” Turn on alerts
  1. Tap the โ‹ฏ button at the top right.
  2. Tap ๐Ÿ”” Turn on alerts, then tap Allow when your phone asks.

On an iPhone, alerts only work after the app is on your home screen (see the next question) and opened from there.

Android (Chrome):

  1. Tap the โ‹ฎ button at the top right of Chrome.
  2. Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen โ†’ Install).

iPhone (Safari):

  1. Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up).
  2. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
๐Ÿ”ค Make the words bigger
  1. Tap the โ‹ฏ button at the top right.
  2. Under Text size, tap A+ or A++. Tap A to go back to normal.
๐Ÿ‘ค Change my name, password, or add my birthday
  1. Tap the โ‹ฏ button at the top right.
  2. Tap ๐Ÿ‘ค My profile.
  3. Make your change and tap the blue Save or Change my password button.
๐Ÿ”‘ I forgot my password
  1. On the sign-in screen, type your email address.
  2. Tap Forgot your password?
  3. Check your email (and the spam folder) for a link to set a new one.

Printing the Weekly Prayer List

Open ๐Ÿ“‹ Prayer List โ†’ ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Print, then in the print box choose:

  • Landscape orientation
  • Double-sided, flip on short edge
  • Print, then cut down the middle โ€” each sheet makes two half-page, two-sided prayer sheets

Printers vary โ€” if the front and back don't line up for cutting, switch the flip setting to long edge.
